Judge Bridget Anne Mitchell is an experienced judge who was elected to the Circuit Court of Cook County in 2014. Judge Mitchell currently serves as a trial judge in the Law Division. There, she presides over civil trials involving significant damages as well as complex medical and legal issues.

Prior to becoming a judge, Judge Bridget Anne Mitchell practiced as a Chicago trial attorney with a private practice concentrating in civil litigation. She represented primarily injured parties in multifaceted cases. Judge Mitchell also has experience representing defendants in civil cases. She has authored appeals and has acted as an arbitrator in many forums.
