Judge Daniel R. Degnan
Judicial Experience: Judge Degnan was elected from the 3rd Subcircuit in 2012. He was assigned to the Probate Division in 2016, where he presides over an adult guardianship calendar involving adults with disabilities. The call entails matters such as: adjudication of disability, appointment of a guardian, residential placement, accounting of assets, citations to recover assets, removal of guardian and restoration of the ward. His previous judicial assignments include presiding over parentage and child support matters in the Domestic Relations Division and traffic matters in the 1st Municipal District.
Legal Experience: Prior to becoming a Judge, Judge Degnan worked in private practice, served as Chief Deputy Cook County Treasurer and served as the Executive Director of the Cook County Employees’ Annuity and Benefit Fund.
