Judge Carol M. Howard
Judicial Experience: Judge Carol M. Howard was elected to the bench in 2006 and retained in 2012. Judge Howard is assigned to the Criminal Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. She hears felony cases ranging in severity from simple drug possession to murder. Judge Howard previously served in the Traffic Division of the First Municipal District.
Legal Experience: Prior to becoming a judge, Judge Howard worked as an Assistant Public Defender for nineteen years. She was assigned to Murder Task Force and litigated capitol cases.
